Grants.gov is a website of the United States government that lists federal grant opportunities. It is a searchable database that includes grants from over 100 federal agencies.

The Impact Grants are small grants of US$ 10 000–US$ 15 000 that fund implementation research on infectious diseases of poverty in low- and middle-income countries. The grants aim to generate new knowledge, solutions and strategies that can improve health outcomes and strengthen research capacity of individuals and institutions. The grants are jointly managed by TDR and WHO regional offices.

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) Innovation Accelerator sources, supports, and scales high-impact innovations to achieve Zero Hunger. Based in Munich, Germany, we provide WFP employees, entrepreneurs, and startups with funding, hands-on support and access to WFP’s global operations. Through the Accelerator, WFP is leveraging unprecedented advances in digital innovation—such as mobile technology, artificial intelligence, big data, and blockchain—and new business models to transform the way we serve vulnerable communities across the world.

The Global Health Ethics Unit has been collaborating with TDR, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases, in a project to develop a training course to increase awareness of ethical considerations in Implementation Research.

The Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI) piloted a community engagement self-monitoring (CE-SM) strategy, where communities were actively engaged in monitoring the implementation and performance of their social innovations to ensure that their objectives were achieved.

The SIFHR Checklist will strengthen the reporting of social innovation for health research studies. More research is needed on social innovation for health.

SIFHR Checklist will strengthen the reporting of social innovation for health research studies by standardizing and improving reporting of research findings, promote transparency, and increase replicability of study results and findings.

The Nine Steps for developing a scaling-up strategy tool and associated worksheets are based on the ExpandNet framework and provide stepwise guidance to develop a scaling-up strategy. It can also support the management of the scaling-up process.

The Practical Guidance tool identifies general scaling-up principles and provides examples from case studies of successful scale-up initiatives. It is helpful at the design stage, during implementation and to manage the scaling-up process.

The Beginning with the end in mind tool offers recommendations for designing and implementing a pilot, demonstration or implementation research project with scaling up in mind. It is also helpful to make mid-course corrections.
